The film Paris is Burning explores " the community of New York's minority drag queens, gay black and Latino men who cross dress as women and invent the dance style of voguing, imitating the fashion poses on the covers of the magazine Vogue." The movie successfully communicates the sense of family provided by each of the houses. The groups featured in the film are often marginalized and overlooked in our community. The names displayed on the sweatshirt are the names of the houses featured in the film.
