“'Dump the Trump' is the second zine that I have worked on and it was created in the spur of the moment. After coming from the Women’s March on Washington, I found myself upset at the lack of intersectionality and true solidarity among individuals who claimed the title of being a feminist. The first part of the zine has been commonly referred to as a manifesto by my friends who have looked over the zine. I am not sure if I want to call the “Dear Reader” letter a manifesto. I have mixed feelings about the letter overall and what the term manifesto entails. The purpose of the letter is for folks to read it and allow the letter to be a catalyst towards them reevaluating actions in their life. This zine also features a piece by my friend Caren Holmes that was supposed to be published before our college had winter break, but I was too swamped with finals to create another zine. “Dump the Trump” concludes itself with ten tips that people can implement within their life in order to alleviate burdens from marginalized groups and to even help themselves. Please enjoy this zine and feel free to contact me if you have any questions/objections to the information that is presented in the zine." - Sharah Hutson
