Color Study was created in 2014 after being tired and overwhelmed by narratives that either excluded people of color, or were about people of color but told by white people. Helmed by Arin Hayes, the Los Angeles zine is all about us owning and telling our own narratives via vibrant and polished design; and strives to be another voice that uplifts and champions people of color all around the world.
The inaugural issue of Color Study, Issue One is a free-form study and exhibition of artists of color. This issue tackles issues such as microagressions, black millennials’ impact on social media and more through photography, poetry . Featuring contributions by Anaka, Brandon Drew Holmes, Phlemuns, No Sesso, and more.
Upon purchase, a download link will be delivered to your email address with instructions on how to download and view the zine.
